The Clash was a British punk rock band that formed in 1976. The four main band members were of Joe Strummer (lead vocals, guitar), Mick Jones (lead guitar), Paul Simonon (bass guitar, back up vocals) and Topper Headon (drums). The band disbanded in 1986 .
